Mid-day talker: Tim Tebow to the Packers? Sure, why not

Three teams to monitor as trade talks for Tim Tebow pick up: Jacksonville, Green Bay, San Francisco.
At this point, Tebow's future -- cast in doubt now that Peyton Manning is set to sign with the Broncos -- is pretty much speculative. But as former Stribber turned ESPN NFC North blogger Kevin Seifert notes:
Two-year-old comments from Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy indicate that at one point he seemed interested in tutoring quarterback Tim Tebow.
Obviously Tebow wouldn't be a starter in Green Bay. But could the Packers give him the kind of hybrid-backup role that he is perhaps more suited for long-term? It's an interesting thought, particularly since Green Bay is in the market for a backup now that Matt Flynn signed with Seattle.
Then again, the Packers already put Aaron Rodgers through the media circus with Brett Favre. Do they really want to bring in Tebow and do the same thing?
