The TV schedule for the NCAA men's hockey tournament is out, and the folks at this blog are not happy. The upshot? All of the games except the championship game are on ESPNU or a syndicated regional sports network, which will be shown on ESPN2. That's a departure, as a quick look at our archives from 2011 -- when the Frozen Four was at Xcel Energy Center -- shows us that the semifinals were on ESPN2 and the title game was on ESPN.

To put that in context: ESPN and ESPN2 both reach about 99 million homes, per ESPN's media zone, while ESPNU reaches only 72 million homes.

Those who follow college hockey closely probably aren't stunned to see the sport's crowning weekend pushed down a rung on the WWL food chain, but we imagine they might still want to vent a bit in the comments.
