Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

Many of you might have read with great sadness Friday about the end of the regular Clearance Clarence feature on Tuesdays. But as the old saying goes, every time an odd sports blog closes a door, a random e-mailer opens a window. As such, local sports fan Joe Lindell e-mailed the other day wondering if we would be interested in publishing his statistical comparison between Nikola Pekovic and Jeremy Lin in the month of February. We took a look and found that we were, in fact, intrigued. So, Joe Lindell -- find the Twin Cities sports fan here on Twitter -- you have the spotlight. If any other folks have guest post ideas to fill the Tuesday void, we are open to suggestions. Joe?
