Wild defenseman Mike Lundin may be getting closer to making his Wild debut.
The former Apple Valley High School player has accepted a conditioning stint in Houston after missing the start of the season with a back injury. The hope is for the former Tampa Bay Lightning to play tomorrow (Friday) against the Texas Stars and Sunday against the Abbotsford Heat.
To do so, Lundin will be activated off injured reserve tomorrow and the Wild will have to make a roster move -- reassign Casey Wellman or place Marek Zidlicky or Marco Scandella on injured reserve.
Wellman is up because Pierre-Marc Bouchard is a game-time decision for the second game in a row. He's currently in warmups and expected to play.
