Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

Jim Thome Wind-up Walker giveaway tonight: The show must go on (with picture)

The original plan, of course, wasn't for Thome to be traded the day before the stumbly little wind-up toy was distributed to fans (first 10,000).
Still, we'll take the Wind-up Walker in a race from first to third over the real Thome. He ran like a penguin, and we'll miss every awkward step.
