Wild agrees to terms with former Gopher Jeff Taffe

The Wild added some scoring punch to the Houston Aeros on Sunday when it agreed to terms with former Gophers forward Jeff Taffe on a two-way contract.
Taffe, 30, who hails from Hastings, was 12th in the American Hockey League last season with 67 points for Rockford. He also scored a career-high 30 goals.
The 1999 Minnesota Mr. Hockey and 2000 first-round pick by St. Louis has scored 21 goals and 44 points in 175 NHL games with Phoenix, the Rangers, Pittsburgh, Florida and Chicago. In 463 AHL games, he’s scored 167 goals and 376 points.
He'll serve as a depth player with Minnesota.
