Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

TFD: Death of a meme -- so long, Steve Holm

Twins catcher Steve Holm, who distinguished himself in his brief time in Minnesota by having a name that closely resembles the minor character Steve Holt (!) from the awesome TV show Arrested Development, is being shipped out. Apparently batting .118 and not impressing the team defensively has eventual consequences that even a great meme can't overcome. We will miss shouting "Steve Holm!" Oh, we will miss it.
We're guessing Stu will be particularly devastated, so give him a hug if you see him. Not an awkward no-hitter hug. Just a regular one, please.
