Athleticism is the theme of Tubby Smith's 2011 recruiting class.

He's already locked up an athletic backcourt with Tennessee prep star Andre Hollins, Minnesota's Mr. Basketball Joe Coleman and former Big West standout Julian Welch joining the team next season.

But Colton Iverson's departure opened up another scholarship for the program. Trevor Mbakwe, who's currently considering a move to pro basketball, could make one more available if he decides to leave.

Smith hopes to enhance his recruiting class this weekend, when juco standouts Andre Ingram and Guy Landry are scheduled to visit the Minnesota campus, according to Rivals.com

Ingram is a 6-7, 230-pound forward from Butler County Community College in Kansas. A source close to the program told me that the team's interest in Ingram is not a sign that the staff believes Mbakwe will turn pro. Ingram played high school basketball at Minnesota Transitions in Minneapolis.

Landry, as you'll see in the video below, is a freakish athlete. He's a 6-5 shooting guard from Midland College in Midland, Texas.

Even if Mbakwe stays, the Gophers will have to rely on a backcourt with limited Big Ten experience during the 2011-12 campaign. But they'll certainly have more athletes.

Check out the two players that the Gophers are pursuing.
