It's Clarence Swamptown's dream! Stensation found it. It's a site called BigTenlogo.com (not affiliated with the conference in any way, though the first clue should have been the misspelling of the commish's last name), and it is sponsoring a contest ($150 prize ... so far!) to design a better new Big Ten Conference logo. From the site: The Big Ten conference has expanded to 12 teams and needed to rebrand to fit the changes to the conference. Commissioner Jim Delaney (sic in all cases) rolled out a new logo and division names after several months of deliberation. Both the logo and division names have received poor reviews which has led Delaney to state that the division names will be reevaluated.

The purpose of this site is for you to submit your ideal logo design and share it with the community. We will allow voting and the top vote-getter by January 30th will be passed to conference commissioner Jim Delaney for his review and will win the full sponsorship pot. Please note that you will be fully credited with any creation so please make sure that you provide all of your details (name, email, etc.). Submit your ideas, have fun, and spread the word. Through all of this we can get something really great for the Big Ten.

RandBall would like to add a pot-sweetener for any great design: An autographed (by us) copy of "Rockin' Steady: A guide to Basketball & Cool," by Walt Frazier and Ira Berkow.

Your move, Clarence.
