• RANGERS 7, COLUMBUS 4: Marian Gaborik sparked the Rangers' offense with two goals and two assists, and got lots of long-awaited help in the victory over the Blue Jackets. After Columbus took a 2-0 lead in the first period, Gaborik got the host Rangers going on their way to matching their biggest offensive output of the season. New York scored three times in the first to take the lead and then added four goals in the second against Blue Jackets starting goalie Steve Mason and backup Mathieu Garon.
• NASHVILLE 3, DETROIT 1: Martin Erat scored two goals as the host Predators beat the Red Wings for their sixth consecutive victory. The streaking Predators finished off a five-game homestand in style and have won 10 of 12 overall.
• OTTAWA 4, WASHINGTON 3 (OT): Mike Fisher scored 1:14 into overtime, giving the host Senators a comeback victory over Washington. Brian Elliott made 25 saves in his fifth start for the Senators, who rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to win their fourth in a row.
• PITTSBURGH 3, FLORIDA 2 (OT): Sidney Crosby scored on a power play at 3:07 of overtime and the Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the host Panthers. Pascal Dupuis and Michael Rupp also scored for the Penguins. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots for the Penguins, who outshot Florida 45-21.
• ISLANDERS 4, TORONTO 3 (OT): Dwayne Roloson made 58 saves and Josh Bailey scored in overtime to lift New York over the host Maple Leafs. Bailey scored 4:18 into overtime, taking a pass from Sean Bergenheim and slamming the puck into an open net. It was the Islanders only shot of the extra period.
• BOSTON 4, ST. LOUIS 2: Patrice Bergeron had four assists, two on power-play goals and another short-handed, to help the Bruins beat the host Blues for their first three-game winning streak of the season. Milan Lucic got the go-ahead goal midway through the second period and Marco Sturm scored short-handed midway through the third for a two-goal cushion on Boston's 20th shot against Chris Mason.
• COLORADO 5, PHILADELPHIA 4: David Jones scored twice, Paul Stastny had a goal and two assists and the host Avalanche stopped a two-game skid with the victory over the Flyers. Craig Anderson stopped 30 shots for Colorado.
• DALLAS 2, CAROLINA 0: Marty Turco stopped 22 shots for his 38th career shutout and rookie Jamie Benn scored a power-play goal in the first period as the host Stars beat Carolina.
• EDMONTON 4, PHOENIX 0: Jeff Deslauriers made 36 saves for his first NHL shutout, and Sheldon Souray and Ales Hemsky scored a team-record 7 seconds apart to lead the Oilers over the visiting Coyotes.
• ANAHEIM 3, CALGARY 2 (SO): Teemu Selanne scored the only goal of the shootout to give the host Ducks the victory. Calgary's Jarome Iginla forced overtime by scoring with 18 seconds left in regulation.
NOTES
• The Bruins' Marc Savard returned to the lineup after missing 15 games because of a broken left foot.
• The NHL suspended Montreal's Georges Laraque five games for a hit on Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall. Laraque, who will lose $38,860 in salary over five games, will be eligible to return Dec. 4 against Boston.
