• BRAINERD 34, CENTENNIAL 28 (OT): Dylan Wheeler tied the score on a 6-yard touchdown reception with less than 30 seconds remaining for the Warriors (8-3), who then beat the Cougars (10-2) in overtime when Jordan Hayes ran in from 10 yards out in St. Cloud on Friday.
On Centennial's first possession in overtime, Warriors senior Kyle Crocker intercepted a third-down pass in the end zone to give Brainerd its chance to win. On the next play, in shotgun formation, Hayes took the draw, cut left, and scampered into the end zone.
Brainerd will face the winner of Eastview/Cretin-Derham Hall on Friday.
• WATERVILLE-ELYSIAN-MORRISTOWN 20, CALEDONIA 13: Cody Williams returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown with two minutes left, and the Buccaneers (11-1) dethroned the two-time defending state champion Warriors (11-1) in Rochester. Caledonia lost for only the third time in 40 games over three seasons.
• EDEN VALLEY-WATKINS 41, PIERZ 7: Pierz's only regular-season loss was a 36-7 drubbing to Eden Valley-Watkins. It wasn't much better for the Pioneers (10-2) on Friday, as the Eagles (12-0) again dominated in a game that went into running time in the fourth quarter in St. Cloud. Ryan McCann paced the Eagles with 11 rushes for 138 yards and a score.
