Preview: The Wolves have won four in a row against the Grizzlies and five of the past six, including the last two in Memphis, and the timing couldn't be better for Minnesota: The last time the teams met, Minnesota ended a 10-game losing streak.
Players to watch: O.J. Mayo, drafted and traded by Minnesota in 2008, posted his first 40-point game Nov. 1 and is averaging 18.0 points. But he's not even Memphis' leading scorer; Rudy Gay (20.7 ppg) and Zach Randolph (19.0) are even hotter.
Numbers: The Grizzlies have lost seven in a row, and three of the past four have been by 14 or more points.
Injuries: Wolves forward Kevin Love (hand) is out, and forward Al Jefferson (death in the family) is absent. ... Rookie center Hasheem Thabeet (jaw) is out, and guard Allen Iverson (personal reasons) is not with the team.
I made this championship belt for the push to the '09 Division Title. Gladden offered to buy it; I wanted a trade for one of his rings. He declined.
