With one embarrassment behind her and another looming, acting CEO Stephanie Streeter decided to leave the U.S. Olympic Committee -- before she was pushed out.
Streeter announced Wednesday that she will not seek the job on a permanent basis and will leave before the end of the Vancouver Paralympics in March.
The decision comes five days after Chicago's first-round exit in voting for a site for the 2016 Olympics and on the same day leaders of America's Olympic sports organizations unanimously slammed Streeter's effectiveness as a leader.
Streeter replaced Jim Scherr after he was forced to resign in March. The USOC will hire a national recruiting firm to search for Streeter's replacement by the end of the month. The new CEO will become the third at the USOC in the span of about a year.
All-America wide receiver Dez Bryant has been ruled ineligible by Oklahoma State, four days before the Cowboys' first Big 12 game.

Bryant caught 87 passes for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns last seasons. He's the only one of last year's three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award who is still in school.
