RAMS ALSO BRINGING DEFENSE TO CHICAGO

Two of the NFC's top three seeds meet Sunday night when the Rams (11-1) and their No. 2 scoring offense (34.9) travel to Chicago (8-4) to face the Bears' No. 5 scoring defense (20.1). Of course, with Mitchell Trubisky returning, the Bears might be more worried about Rams defensive tackle and NFL sacks leader Aaron Donald facing guard Bryan Witzmann, a backup who has had to start since Kyle Long went down back in Week 8.

HUNT-LESS CHIEFS FACE BALTIMORE

Yeah, Kansas City is 1-0 with 40 points scored since releasing Kareem Hunt. But the Chiefs faced the Raiders. This week, they take on a stout Ravens defense and a Baltimore team that's 3-0 with Lamar Jackson starting. The Ravens struggle against tight ends, and that's not good this week since Travis Kelce might be the best tight end not named Gronk. Kansas City must keep home-field advantage away from New England.

CAN THE COWBOYS SINK THE EAGLES?

Dallas (7-5) can take a two-game lead with three weeks left and secure the head-to-head tiebreaker by beating the visiting Eagles (6-6) in a game that could decide the NFC East. Dallas' four-game winning streak began with a 27-20 win at Philly. The Eagles have won two straight, but one was a three-point win over the Giants while the other came against a Redskins team that's down to third-string quarterback Mark Sanchez.

TEXANS GOING FOR 10TH STRAIGHT WIN

The Texans (9-3) were 0-3 when they went to Indianapolis and won 37-34. They haven't lost since, winning nine in a row. The Colts (6-6) were surging until dropping a 6-0 head-scratcher against Jacksonville last week. A win Sunday by Houston would eliminate the Colts from being able to win the AFC South. Since that win over the Colts, Houston has allowed only 15.9 points per game.

IS IT PAYBACK TIME FOR THE SAINTS?

When the Saints and Bucs met in Week 1, Drew Brees (above) threw for 439 yards, three TDs, no interceptions and a 129.5 passer rating. And he lost at home 48-40. The Saints then won 10 in a row and looked unbeatable until last week, when they lost 13-10 at Dallas. That winnable Week 1 hiccup is what stands between the Saints (10-2) having the NFC's No. 1 seed over an 11-1 Rams team that lost to New Orleans.

PREDICTION OF THE WEEK

The POTW had a feeling last week. A real strong feeling the Bears and their fans would not skip through an entire season without one of those forehead-slapping losses. The Giants must have sensed the same thing as they were dropping the Bears to 8-4 on a day when the Vikings lost and the Packers disintegrated. This week's POTW targets the happiness in Dallas as the next to fall. The Cowboys can gain control of the NFC East by simply beating an Eagles team that they beat in Philly to start a four-game winning streak. But this is the NFL. Nothing outside of Foxborough in December is a simple pick. Eagles win.
