Last update: December 11, 2008 - 7:55 AM

Peter Haugen, football coach at Minneapolis Washburn High School for the past 15 years, was named football coach at Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday.

Haugen, who coached the Millers to a 111-44 overall record and 11 Minneapolis City Conference titles, succeeds Jay Schoenebeck.

Schoenebeck stepped down after 15 seasons as the Gusties coach to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family.
