MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Harris, Wolverines roll past Northeastern

• MICHIGAN 76, NORTHEASTERN 56: Manny Harris had 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists as the Wolverines (2-0) beat the Huskies (1-1) Wednesday to win the Ann Arbor regional of the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament. The Wolverines, who made their first 24 free throws, increased their lead to 13 with a 10-2 run early in the second half. Northeastern was never able to make a serious run. DeShawn Sims added 19 points for Michigan, which outshot Northeastern 54 percent to 29 percent. Manny Adako led Northeastern with 16 points and Matt Janning added 14.

NOTE

North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough is "extremely doubtful" to play in Saturday's basketball season-opener against Penn, coach Roy Williams said Wednesday in a prepared statement.

The reigning national player of the year has not practiced for two weeks because of a stress reaction -- which is the precursor to a stress fracture -- in his right shin.
