Liga MX: Club Leon vs. Veracruz, 8 p.m. Saturday, Telemundo. It's Minnesota fans' first chance to check on Miguel Ibarra, following his summer move south of the border to Leon. Ibarra played the final 12 minutes of Leon's first game of the season last week, a 3-1 victory, and was in the starting lineup on Tuesday in a Copa MX match. It can be difficult to find an entry point into watching the Mexican league, especially if you're not fluent in Spanish; cheering for Ibarra, in any language you choose, is as good a reason as you'll find to watch.

MLS: Vancouver at Seattle, 9 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live. Once the powerhouse of the Western Conference, Seattle has lost six of seven games, a span in which it has scored just two goals. The Sounders appear to be a two-man team, having tanked without Obafemi Martins and Clint Dempsey up front, but both will be available for this game. Cascadia rival Vancouver will be looking to spoil the party and potentially claim the top spot in the league with a victory of its own. Seattle just needs to do something other than lose, for once.

Community Shield: Arsenal vs. Chelsea, 9 a.m. Sunday, FS1. The Community Shield may be a meaningless preseason friendly, but it's the traditional curtain-raiser for the English soccer calendar. Chelsea, last year's Premier League champions, has been quiet over the summer, forgoing its usual big-money signings; Arsenal, perhaps the league's best team at the end of last year, wants to get off to a fast start after its second straight FA Cup victory. It might be a moot point: Arsenal beat Manchester City in last year's Community Shield, then scuttled its title chances with a slow start.

NASL: Ottawa at Edmonton, 3 p.m. Sunday, ESPN3. The NASL's Canadian championship has never been this interesting before. Ottawa has been the surprise of 2015, having climbed to the top of the league and opened a five-point gap in the fall standings after just five games. Edmonton faltered in the spring season but is in second place in the table for the fall. We'll see what gives; the Eddies are tied for the league lead in goals scored but are tied for last in goals allowed, while the Fury is second-best on defense but tied for second-worst on offense.
