Eddie Rosario has played 180 minor league games in center field. That includes 11 games this season at Class AAA Rochester and 43 last season at Class AA New Britain.

So Twins manager Paul Molitor, facing a crunch at the position due to injuries to Byron Buxton and Aaron Hicks, is starting Rosario in center today.

He said he has spoken with Rochester manager Mike Quade, who said he had no problems with Rosario in center.

Danny Santana is back at short after being called up on Friday when Buxton landed on the DL. Molitor said the reports on Santana at Rochester were good across the board, especially that he wasn't too hard on himself when things didn't go well.

Talked to someone about Alex Meyer who is concerned about the lack of angle on his pitches. Something he needs to address during the offseason.

Meyer, J.R. Graham and Brian Duensing are the three pitchers Molitor doesn't want to use today,

Aaron Hicks was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts as the designated hitter on Friday for Rochester. It was the first game of what the Twins hope will be a short rehab stint. He's eligible to come off the disabled list on Monday, so the Twins hope he has good games on Saturday and Sunday to merit leaving the DL. If you haven't noticed, the Twins could use a capable center fielder.

Let's see if the Twins drop bunts and try to be active on the bases against Matt Garza, who is known to have trouble throwing the ball to first base.
