The Minnesota State High School League board of directors on Thursday postponed discussion of a dance team state tournament protest until June's meeting.

The league has not received direct response from any of the five schools involved: Chaska, Eastview, Eden Prairie, Lakeville South and Wayzata.

A Minneapolis law firm conducted an investigation of four of the schools. Lakeville South and Wayzata issued written reprimands to their dance team coaches.

Representatives for the Eden Prairie and Eastview districts said this week that the firm's report has been received but not yet acted upon. Chaska is conducting its own investigation, which is incomplete, a district spokesperson said.

After Faribault's dance team won the high-kick competition Feb. 14, girls from the other schools stood off to the side of the Target Center floor holding hands in protest of what was alleged to be a plagiarized routine.

The episode drew swift criticism from the league, which had previously dismissed a complaint about the Faribault team's routine.
