The Big Ten suspended Penn State freshman forward Scott Conway for one game under the conference's supplemental discipline process on Saturday morning.

Conway will miss Saturday night's regular-season finale at Mariucci Arena after hitting Gophers sophomore forward Vinni Lettieri in the head late in the third period. Lettieri had just scored the final goal in a 5-0 victory when Conway appeared to elbow Lettieri, sending him to the ice grabbing his head.

Conway (10 goals, 16 assists) was ejected from the game for contact to the head and game misconduct penalties.

"We'll deal with that. It's not what we're about," Penn State coach Guy Gadowsky said after Friday's incident. "At the end, we were very mentally weak letting our frustration get the better of us. As a result, we did stupid things and we don't feel very good right now."

Gophers coach Don Lucia said Lettieri was fine and shouldn't miss any ice time.
