Gophers center Amanda Zahui B. was named to the Big Ten women's basketball all-tournament team after averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks in two tournament games. Zahui, a sophomore, blocked a tournament-record 11 shots in the Gophers' quarterfinal loss to Ohio State on Friday, and her triple-double in that game — 25 points, 11 rebounds, 11 blocks — was the second triple-double in Big Ten tournament history, after former Gopher Janel McCarville's 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals in 2004.

Guard Lexie Brown of Maryland was named most outstanding player after scoring 19 points in the Terrapins' victory over Ohio State in Sunday's championship game.

Others on the team were Iowa center Bethany Doolittle, a Hill-Murray alumnus, and two Buckeyes, guard Kelsey Mitchell and forward Alexa Hart.

On Monday, Zahui was among 15 players named to the women's national ballot for the John R. Wooden Award. The award is voted upon by a media panel, and the winner will be announced April 10.

Zahui is one of three Big Ten players on the ballot, joining Mitchell and Iowa guard Samantha Logic.
