Former Twins third baseman Corey Koskie has been elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

Koskie, whose career was cut short by a concussion, played for the Twins from 1998 through 2004. He is from Anola, Manitoba, which is located near Winnipeg and about an hour's drive from the U.S. border.

Koskie, who lives in the Twin Cities, played for Toronto in 2005 and was traded to Milwaukee the following season. He hit 12 home runs in a half-season for the Brewers before suffering a concussion in July that essentially ended his career.

He was elected along with former major leaguers Carlos Delgado, who played most of his career for the Blue Jays, and Matt Stairs, who is from New Brunswick. Former Montreal manager Felipe Alou was also elected.

The induction ceremony will be June 13 in St. Marys, Ontario.,
