The second game of the series was a little closer.

Junior defenseman Milica McMillen scored two goals, her ninth and 10th of the season, to lead the Gophers to a 7-0 rout of St. Cloud State on Saturday afternoon in WCHA women's hockey at Ridder Arena.

After tying a program record for goals in a game on Friday in a 12-0 win, No. 2-rated Minnesota won almost in methodic fashion in the second game. The Gophers had 13 shots on goal each period and, by period, scored three, one and three goals.

Nobody had gaudy point totals like Friday, when Hannah Brandt had seven points and Dani Cameranesi six. Instead, Kelsey Cline led the Gophers with three points, all on assists. Six players had two points apiece.

Freshman Sydney Baldwin gave the Gophers (16-1-2, 11-1-2 WCHA) a 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season in the opening period. It turned out to be the winner because goalie Amanda Leveille stopped 14 shots for her fourth shutout.
