Grand Meadow Superlarks (13-0) vs. Edgerton/Ellsworth Flying Dutchmen (12-1)

Jim says: Best Prep Bowl matchup of team nicknames. If common larks prefer a normal meadow, than Superlarks obviously reside in a Grand Meadow. Edgerton/Ellsworth's dandy running back tandem of Tyler Kurrasch and Trevor Van Dyke have not faced a defense like Grand Meadow's all year. The Superlarks have held opponents to scoreboard goose eggs in four postseason games. The defending champion Superlarks will roost on top but if they lay an egg, will it be a "Meadowlark lemon?"

• The pick: Grand Meadow 34, Edgerton/Ellsworth 15

David says: Running back Landon Jacobson became Grand Meadow's all-time touchdown leader this season but the defense commands the headlines. Those four shutouts in the past five games is incredible. Jacobson, also the team's leading tackler, is one of the seniors who experienced just six losses since freshman year. Grand Meadow's kids are winners and I don't see them fumbling a chance to defend their state title.

The pick: Grand Meadow 42, Edgerton/Ellsworth 7
