Detroit: With Twins starter Kyle Gibson pitching, Eugenio Suarez singled to left. Don Kelly lined out to center. Rajai Davis singled to left, Suarez to second. Ian Kinsler singled to left, scoring Suarez, Davis to third. Torii Hunter singled to right, scoring Davis, Kinsler to third. Victor Martinez reached on a throwing error by second baseman Brian Dozier, scoring Kinsler.

Twins: With Tigers starter Max Scherzer pitching, Kurt Suzuki singled to left. Eduardo Escobar reached on a fielder’s choice to shortstop, Suzuki out at second. Jordan Schafer doubled to center, Escobar to third. Danny Santana doubled to right, scoring Escobar and Schafer. Dozier singled to center, scoring Santana. Twins 3, Tigers 3

 

FIFTH INNING

Detroit: Kinsler singled to center. Hunter was hit by a pitch, Kinsler to second. Victor Martinez singled to center, scoring Kinsler, Hunter to second. Gibson threw a wild pitch, moving Hunter to third and Victor Martinez to second. J.D. Martinez walked. Nick Castellanos struck out. Alex Avila reached on a fielder’s choice, scoring Hunter, J.D. Martinez out at second. Tigers 5, Twins 3

 

SIXTH INNING

Detroit: With Twins reliever Brian Duensing pitching, Kinsler walked. Kinsler stole second. Hunter popped out to second. Victor Martinez homered to left-center, scoring Kinsler. Tigers 7, Twins 3

 

SEVENTH INNING

Detroit: With Twins reliever Samuel Deduno pitching, Kelly walked. Davis homered to left, scoring Kelly.

Twins: With Tigers reliever Phil Coke pitching, Kennys Vargas singled to center. Oswaldo Arcia flied out to center. Trevor Plouffe doubled to right, moving Vargas to third. Jim Johnson relieved Coke. Suzuki grounded out to short, scoring Vargas. Tigers 9, Twins 4

 

EIGHTH INNING

Detroit: With Twins reliever Casey Fien pitching, Castellanos singled to center. Avila singled to center, moving Castellanos to third. Suarez singled to left, scoring Castellanos and moving Avila to second. Kelly singled to right, moving Avila to third and Suarez to second. Davis flied out to right. Kinsler struck out. Hunter tripled to right, scoring Avila, Suarez and Kelly. Tigers 13, Twins 4
