Twins: Kennys Vargas doubled to left off Detroit starter Robbie Ray. Oswaldo Arcia doubled to center, scoring Vargas. Trevor Plouffe doubled to left, scoring Arcia. Kurt Suzuki struck out. Eduardo Escobar hit a two-run homer to left. Jordan Schafer singled to center. Danny Santana hit a two-run homer to left.

Detroit: With one out, Torii Hunter was safe at first on Escobar’s fielding error. Miguel Cabrera singled to center, Hunter to third. Victor Martinez singled to center, scoring Hunter, Cabrera to second. J.D. Martinez doubled to left-center, scoring Cabrera, V. Martinez to third. Nick Castellanos reached on an infield single to short, scoring V. Martinez, J.D. Martinez to second. Eugenio Suarez singled to left, loading the bases. Anthony Swarzak relieved Milone. Bryan Holaday hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring J.D. Martinez.

Arcia was safe at first on Kinsler’s fielding error, scoring Dozier; Mauer to third, and Vargas to second. Plouffe reached on a fielder’s choice to third, scoring Mauer; Vargas scored, Arcia to third on Castellanos’ throwing error. Suzuki struck out. Escobar struck out. Schafer walked, loading the bases. Santana singled to center, scoring Arcia and Plouffe; Schafer to third. Al Alburquerque relieved Krol. Brian Dozier walked, loading the bases. Mauer walked, scoring Schafer.
