Manchester City vs. Olympiakos at a glance: The Citizens of Man City have an uphill battle to make it to the final of the preseason tournament. They defeated AC Milan 5-1 but tied Liverpool 2-2 before losing 3-1 on penalty kicks. Thus, City must beat Olympiakos and hope AC Milan takes down Liverpool to meet likely pool A winner Manchester United. A tie also would suffice if Liverpool loses, as City would advance on goal differential. … The Greeks defeated AC Milan 3-0 but lost to Liverpool 1-0. To advance to the championship match Aug. 4 in Miami, they’ll need to beat Man City and root for table bottom-feeder Milan to defeat Liverpool.

United vs. Fury at a glance: The Loons are coming off a 1-1 tie at Atlanta last Saturday after a controversial late penalty. Leading late on forward Christian Ramirez’s goal just after halftime, United was called for a handball on an Atlanta free kick. Silverbacks striker Jaime Chavez made the penalty kick in the 90th minute. United has a seven-game unbeaten streak in league play. … Ottawa lost 3-0 at Carolina on Saturday. When Ottawa played United at Carleton University in the spring season, the soon-to-be champion Loons won 2-1. The Fury ended the spring season in sixth place out of 10 teams. In the fall season, Ottawa (0-2-1) is ninth in the league standings, United (2-0-1) second.
