• OAKLAND 8, TAMPA BAY 1: Dallas Braden gave up one run over five innings and Jack Hannahan hit a three-run homer as the visiting Athletics beat the Rays to end a six-game losing streak.
• TORONTO 10, BALTIMORE 8: Adam Lind had a career-high four hits, including a three-run homer, and John McDonald had four RBI as the visiting Blue Jays beat the Orioles.
• FLORIDA 4, ATLANTA 0: Rick VandenHurk and three relievers combined on a one-hitter, and Mike Jacobs hit a three-run homer as the Marlins beat the visiting Braves. VandenHurk, recalled Monday from Class AA Carolina, pitched five hitless innings. He walked five and left the game after throwing 94 pitches. Joe Nelson, Renyel Pinto and Matt Lindstrom completed the one-hitter.
• ARIZONA 9, CHICAGO 2: Yusmeiro Petit gained the victory and Conor Jackson drove in three runs with a solo homer and two-run double as the Diamondbacks beat the visiting Cubs.
• SAN FRANCISCO 6, WASHINGTON 2: Bengie Molina hit two homers as Barry Zito and the Giants beat the visiting Nationals.
• PITTSBURGH 8, HOUSTON 2: Paul Maholm shut down the Astros for eight innings and Freddy Sanchez homered for the second consecutive game as the visiting Pirates beat the Astros.
• MILWAUKEE 4, ST. LOUIS 3: Bill Hall homered to break a late-inning tie for the second consecutive game as the visiting Brewers beat the Cardinals and Kyle Lohse. It was Milwaukee's sixth consecutive victory.
• CINCINNATI 4, SAN DIEGO 3 (11): Jeff Keppinger's one-out double in the 11th inning let the Reds beat the visiting Padres.
• COLORADO 10, LOS ANGELES 1: Ubaldo Jiminez pitched a four-hitter for his first complete game and Ian Stewart homered and drove in four runs as the Rockies beat the Dodgers in Denver.
• Washington Nationals shortstop Cristian Guzman agreed to terms on a $16 million, two-year contract extension that takes him through the 2010 season. Guzman, 30, is batting .310 with five home runs, 34 RBI, 56 runs scored, three triples and 26 doubles.
• The St. Louis Cardinals placed Chris Duncan on the 15-day disabled list with a bulging disk in his neck.
• Cincinnati Reds righthander Josh Fogg was hit in the mouth by a ball during batting practice Tuesday, and was taken to a medical center where he got 30 stitches for a split upper lip.
