Mayo Clinic joining Lynx as major sponsor

The Lynx will announce a multiyear partnership Monday with Mayo Clinic, one that will include marquee placement on the team’s jerseys and makes Mayo Clinic the exclusive presenting sponsor for the 2014 season.

This is part of an already announced plan for a new practice facility for the Timberwolves and Lynx that includes a sports medicine center in Mayo Clinic Square, formerly known as Block E in Minneapolis.

This is the first time the Lynx have had an individual jersey sponsor, and it makes Minnesota one of six teams in the league to have one.
