The Waconia girls' basketball team pushed the bar even higher in a home game Monday night, defeating Glencoe-Silver Lake 122-115 in overtime.
The Wildcats set a girls' state record by making 23 three-pointers — on 59 attempts — breaking the previous mark of 18. The 237 combined points also set a state record, breaking the mark of 216 set earlier this season in Waconia's 112-104 loss to Buffalo.
Five players scored in double figures for Waconia, led by junior guard Anna Schmitt with 21 points.
Senior post Steph Klockman scored 52 points for Glencoe-Silver Lake.
