Caitlin Reilly recorded a hat trick, including two third-period goals, as Benilde-St. Margaret's defeated Minnetonka, the three-time defending state champions, 4-2 in the Class 2A, Section 6 semifinals at the Parade Ice Garden on Wednesday night.

The Red Knights got out to a 2-0 lead on Kelly Pannek's power-play goal off a Reilly assist with a little more than 18 minutes left in the third. The game went back-and-forth the rest of the way, with each team alternating goals.

Twice Minnetonka got within one goal only to have Reilly push back with scores of her own, the final tally coming with under a minute left on an empty net from an assist from Pannek, who finished the night with three points on a goal and two assists.

Benilde-St. Margaret's moves on to face Wayzata at 6 p.m. Friday at Ridder Arena in the section final.
