1981-85: Cornerback/safety for the Chicago Bears (65 career games, 20 INTs, two TDs)

1988-96: Head coach at Trinity College (now Trinity International University)

1997-98: Defensive backs coach at University of Illinois

1999-2002: Defensive backs coach for Philadelphia Eagles

2003-04: Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator

2005-06: Defensive backs coach/assistant to head coach Tony Dungy for Indianapolis Colts (won Super Bowl XLI)

2007-10: Vikings defensive coordinator

Nov 22, 2010: Named interim head coach after Vikings start 3-7 under Brad Childress

Nov. 28, 2010: First victory as head coach, a 17-13 triumph over Washington at FedEx Field

Jan. 3, 2011: Named permanent head coach

Dec. 30, 2012: A 37-34 victory over Green Bay is the Vikings’ fourth in a row to cap a 10-6 season

Monday: Fired as head coach of the Vikings
