Nate Mason's visit to Minnesota has officially been set as of this morning, according to a Gophers team source.

The 2014 combo guard from Georgia (who is spending his senior year at Montrose Christian in Maryland) will be the sole recruit on campus for an official this weekend.

The 5-11 Mason has previously visited Virginia and Kansas State, and could make a decision shortly after visiting Minnesota.

"I think Nate is the toughest nail and a very talented and skilled guard," his coach at Montrose, Bryan Bartley said."His toughness and his desire to win is incredible."

The Gophers have one commitment for the 2014 class in Josh Martin, a power forward from Seattle, but they have missed on a bevy of guards. The early signing period begins November 13.
