Chris Kluwe reported to camp with his new team, the Oakland Raiders, and sent up a Twitter message about the difference between training in Napa vs. reporting to Minnesota State-Mankato.
It's easy to imagine Napa as having the sweeter surroundings.
Kluwe tweeted about the change thusly:
The Mankato Free Press is reporting that some folks aren't taking his words very well. Here's one response:
Reporter Robb Murray of the Free Press did the right thing, and something any sports fan can appreciate: He took a look at the numbers.
Kluwe wasn't off target. Murray wrote: "For the record, Kluwe was kind of right. Blue Earth County, for whatever reason, has long been a state leader in chlamydia cases. In the most recent report on the subject from the Minnesota Department of Health, Ramsey County and Hennepin are understandably tops with the most cases per 100,000. Followed by then are Beltrami County and Blue Earth County."
