San Antonio scored in the first minute and in stoppage time to beat Minnesota United FC 2-0 on Saturday at Toyota Field in an NASL game.

Balke Wagner got the early goal for the Scorpions (2-4-2), while Walter Ramierez added the late goal.

San Antonio improved its all-time regular-season record to 2-0-4 against United FC. One of their ties was a scoreless draw in the season opener this season.

Kimmel wins at Elko

Nine-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel won the Akona 250 at Elko Speedway, the points leader’s second victory of the season. It was his 78th victory, one short of tying the series record. He is the first ARCA driver to win multiple races this year.

Tom Hessert was second, followed by Jonathan Eilen, Justin Boston and longtime NASCAR star Ken Schrader, who started on the pole. Milka Duno finished 13th.

Uhl still scoring goals

Former Gophers soccer forward Taylor Uhl scored her second goal of the season as the visiting Ottawa Fury beat the London Gryphons 4-1 on Saturday.

Uhl, who left Minnesota this spring after two years, is transferring to Stanford. But this summer she is playing for the 2-0 Fury, which plays in the United Soccer League’s open developmental W-League. She had 21 goals last fall for the Gophers.
