Neither center Janel McCarville (sprained left ankle) nor guard Lindsey Moore (sore calf) will play today for the Lynx in their preseason finale against Connecticut today at Target Center. The good news, though, is that neither should be out for long.

"X-Rays were unnecessary," Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said of McCarville, who turned the ankle in practice Monday. "She had limited swelling. I think it's considered a mild sprain. There is a little bit of bruising, a little bit of swelling that I saw."

Moore, meanwhile, is not badly injured. Reeve said she didn't even have a calf strain, just soreness. "We like to catch those things before they go into the strain mode," Reeve said.

Reeve said she hopes both could return to practice in a couple days.

Meanwhile:

--Amber Harris will start at center in place of McCarville today.

--Reeve said the team might not make any roster moves until the Thursday deadline. "I don' t think there is any reason to do it until then," she said. "I think a lot depends on today, if anybody really puts themselves in position.''
