JUPITER, FLA. - At 6-2 and 180 pounds, Pedro Florimon is not a guy you would expect to possess the power to reach the center-field warning track. Certainly Gorkys Hernandez didn't.

Florimon bashed a Steve Cishek pitch over Hernandez's head Friday, driving home two runs and putting the Twins in front for good as they won for the fifth day in a row, 8-7 over Miami.

"Florimon crushed that ball. A big hit," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "He jumped on the first pitch, didn't let it get deep in the count. And [Cishek] made a mistake."

Twins starter Vance Worley made a few of them, too, allowing four runs in his two-inning, 41-pitch outing, but nobody seemed particularly concerned. Four of the six hits were soft line drives, more annoying than alarming. "I threw one [changeup] today, and I broke a guy's bat for a double," said Worley, speaking of a second-inning hit by Kyle Skipworth. "That seemed to be how every hit today was."

Aaron Hicks became the first Twin to play all nine innings this spring. He beat out an infield chopper in the eighth, setting up a two-run inning.

Eddie Rosario followed with a fly ball that right fielder Bryan Petersen misplayed into a double, Mark Sobolewski hit a fly ball to bring home Hicks, and Chris Colabello doubled, scoring Rosario.
