HBO's "Hard Knocks" will feature Cowboys

No doubt the folks at HBO are hoping Adam (Pacman) Jones is reinstated by the NFL ASAP.

It was announced today that Jones' new team, the Dallas Cowboys, will be featured on the latest installment of the cable network's "Hard Knocks" training camp show beginning this August. Jones, suspended by the league for all of last season for various misdeeds, was traded by Tennessee to Dallas last month.

The cornerback has yet to be cleared by Commissioner Roger Goodell to return. Jones' presence would add to what already promises to be a show with plenty of story lines surrounding eccentrics in the Cowboys' front office (owner Jerry Jones) and on the field (receiver Terrell Owens).

A 24-person crew from NFL Films will live at the Cowboys' training camp, shooting more than 700 hours of video over the course of the series. Hard Knocks will debut at 9 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 6) on HBO and a subsequent hour-long episodes will air each Wednesday at the same time. The last show will be Sept. 3.

This will mark the second time the Cowboys have been the focus of Hard Knocks. The team also was featured in 2002.

"It's the most challenging, high-profile project of the year for NFL Films," says NFL Films President Steve Sabol. "There is no shooting script, no structure, no format. The storylines change weekly. For NFL Films, it is a six-week-long audible. We're privileged to be able to work with HBO and the Cowboys, the most glamorous franchise in pro sports."

Hard Knocks launched with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001. The series was brought back in 2007 with the Kansas City Chiefs.
