Jon Secrist's minor league dream has ended after throwing his knuckleball in two games for the St. Paul Saints.

The 53-year-old pitcher was released by the Saints on Monday when the independent club set its opening day roster for the American Association season. Secrist tossed a total of three innings, allowing four runs, three hits and three walks while striking out four over two appearances in exhibition games.

Secrist had a previous try with the Saints in 1999.
