Going to the game? Tickets, parking, beer

Last update: May 1, 2008 - 11:25 AM

The Minnesota Thunder men's professional team plays its first home match at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday against Rochester at James Griffin Stadium in St. Paul, located off I-94 and Lexington Avenue. Here are three things you need to know.

1. Admission is not free this year. Tickets range from $10 for general admission to $17 for VIP. Go to www.ticketmaster.com or call 651-989-5151 for more information.

2. More parking is available. The Thunder has more control of the main lot (accessible off Marshall Avenue) and will reserve about 100 parking spots for the general public at home games this season.

3. Mmmm. Beer. O'Gara's Bar and Grill will host Thunder Alley, a beer garden located in the west alley, just outside of Griffin Stadium. The beer garden will open one hour before the game and remain open through halftime.
