Recap: The Red Knights threatened to run away early in the game and again early in the second half, but the Cougars kept fighting. In the end, though, Benilde guard Jordan Taylor was just too much. Taylor scored 43 points, including 30 in the second half, as top-seed Benilde-St. Margaret's advanced to the semifinals. Armond Battle added 21 for the Red Knights.

Turning point: Taylor scored 17 points in the first five minutes, 27 seconds of the second half as the Red Knights inceased their lead to 15 points.

The quote: "When we started the second half it was important we play solid the first five minutes. I guess [Taylor] he took it as a call for him to do it.'' -- Benilde coach John Moore.

Noteworthy: Jordan Jackson fouled out trying to guard Taylor.
