Post time: 7 p.m. Best bet: Unzapped (9th race). Best Pick 3: Race 7, $1, (1,2,3,4,5,/1,2,3,4,6,/4), $25

1  Distance: 5½ furlongs. Purse: $25,600. State-bred. Maiden special weight. Fillies. State-bred.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Sultry Queen (Keith, Hanson)    118    3-1
2/Our Rianna (Dieguez, Bethke)    118    6-1
3/City Kid (Stevens, Rhone)    118    2-1
4/Caring Karen (Trimble, Berg)    118    15-1
5/Prairie Girl (Riggs, Donlin)    118    6-1
6/Somerset Bing (Goodwin, Donlin)    118    4-1
7/Santa Fe Princess (Velazquez, Hardy)    118    15-1
8/Demi’s Hope (Prado, Winget)    118    15-1
CITY KID improved greatly second time out while pressing the hot pace to hold on for place honors. Adds the blinkers tonight and deserves to be the favorite in this group of two-year-olds. SULTRY QUEEN too chased the pace last out but faded as the favorite. Expect Lori Keith to push the go button out of the gate. SOMERSET BING begins racing career tonight and works suggests all systems go.

2  Distance: About 1 mile. Purse: $25,600.  Maiden special weight. Fillies and mares. State-bred.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Royal Bluff (Dieguez, Pfeifer)    119    7-2
2/Jenell Kae (Prado, Cheloha)    123    30-1
3/Corporate Comet (Butler, Rhone)    119    5-2
4/Mudpie Maudie (Castro, Wekseth)    123    20-1
5/Kippy Longstocking (Arroyo, McFadden)    123    12-1
6/Mocha Polka (Shino, Riecken)    119    15-1
7/East Coast Carm (Trimble, Riddle)    119    12-1
8/Tightrope Dancer (Velazquez, Scherer)    119    5-1
9/Demi’s Prospect (Delorme, Ranwick, Jr.)    123    30-1
10/Dynabon (Aguilar, Wekseth)    123    15-1
11/Demi’s Bid (Garnett, Winget)    123    20-1
12/Rusana (A. Canchari, Rhone)    114    8-1
TIGHTROPE DANCER is the veteran turf runner in this field with 10 of her rivals making their grass debut. Trainer Scherer brings back the filly on six days’ notice after she closed from far back to get up for third. ROYAL BLUFF pedigree suggests she’ll enjoy the grass but rates higher if race ends up on the dirt. DYNABON could improve after lone turf race last effort.

3  Distance: About 1 mile. Purse: $26,880. Allowance. Fillies and mares. State-bred.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Dancehall Roxie (Delorme, Riddle)    121    15-1
2/Stillwater Storm (Rivera, Oliver)    121    3-1
3/Final Moment (Stevens, Rhone)    117    8-1
4/Sapphire Sue (Keith, Cheloha)    121    4-1
5/Aaron’s Belt (Castro, Weir)    121    6-1
6/Hoodwinked Holly (A. Canchari, McFadden)    116    10-1
7/Dear Fay (Riggs, Robertson)    117    5-1
8/Designed to Run (Velazquez, Wekseth)    121    15-1
9/Sam’s Grindstone (Butler, Rengstorf)    121    9-2
SAPPHIRE SUE and Lori Keith team up again, after Sue got up late for the victory two races back, breaking her maiden. Consistent filly is a logical threat. SAM’S GRINDSTONE will be real tough to beat if race ends up off the turf. STILLWATER STORM figures to be in the hunt and runs well on either surface. Closer would love to view a decent pace set up front. DEAR FAY is a candidate to improve in second turf race.

4  Distance: 5½ furlongs. Purse: $9,000. Claiming: $5,000.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/At the Brink (Shino, Corcoran)    123    9-2
2/Recast (Prado, Newman)    123    30-1
3/Accept the Kiss (Rivera, Van Winkle)    123    6-1
4/Royal Express (Stevens, Arterburn)    123    3-1
5/Seattle Sal (Trimble, Porter)    123    5-1
6/Timetobook (Delorme, Robertson)    123    7-2
7/Last Basket (Arroyo, Berg)    123    12-1
8/Afleet Indy (Castro, Riecken)    123    5-1
ROYAL EXPRESS should get the early lead tonight, and if jockey Stevens can control some of the speed he could hold on for first win of the meet. Last two losses were to next-out winners. SEATTLE SAL has been on the sideline since last year but has solid works for trainer Porter, who does well bringing his runners back after long layoffs. TIMETOBOOK will be forwardly placed and will get first shot at our top pick.

5  Distance: 5½ furlongs. Purse: $25,600. Maiden special weight. Fillies. State-bred.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Informal Fannie (Velazquez, Bethke)    118    7-2
2/Antique Angel (Rivera, Van Winkle)    118    10-1
3/B J’s Angel (Goodwin, Scherer)    118    8-1
4/Silver Somerset (Delorme, Donlin)    118    5-2
5/Not a Girlie Girl (Keith, Hanson)    118    8-1
6/Supreme Monique (Bell, Robertson)    118    6-1
7/Jelloshotsforjill (Castro, Riecken)    118    6-1
8/Unbridled’s Siren (A. Canchari, Rhone)    113    12-1
9/Top Vow (Butler, Bravo)    118    10-1
Tough race to begin the late Pick-4 that you could throw a dart at with much uncertainty in the field. If City Kid wins Race 1, TOP VOW needs a look after she ran behind City Kid for show honors last out with big improvement in second career start. Should get a decent price. NOT A GIRLIE and SUPREME MONIQUE are two new shooters for trainers who like to win with newbies. SILVER SOMERSET has three races and three place finishes.

6  Distance: 5½ furlongs. Purse: $16,500. Claiming: $25,000.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Seeking the Reward (Butler, Rengstorf)    120    9-2
2/Kilian’s Blend (Trimble, Porter)    120    6-1
3/El Seventyseven (Riggs, Robertson)    123    5-2
4/One Eyed Harry (Shino, McShane)    120    6-1
5/Two Left Shoes (Velazquez, Scherer)    120    4-1
6/Perfect Ablation (Goodwin, Scherer)    120    5-1
7/Admiral Paul (Packer, Miller)    120    6-1
EL SEVENTY SEVEN should be well rested and set today for the Robertson/Riggs team. Like the easy training sessions coming in and gets my vote to edge out a win in a closely matched race. SEEKING THE REWARD has a bullet work coming in and also been on the shelf since July. Gets ground-saving stalking trip from the rail. TWO LEFT SHOES faded to third last out in lone summer start but has every reason to step up tonight.

7  Distance: 6 furlongs. Purse: $9,000. Claiming: $3,500.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Tapinot (Keith, Biehler)    123    5-1
2/Melo (Trimble, Johnson)    123    4-1
3/Lumpsinmyoatmeal (Riggs, Robertson)    123    2-1
4/Khukuri (Rivera, Van Winkle)    123    7-2
5/Mack’s Monarch (Dieguez, Bethke)    123    8-1
6/Cornetto (Velazquez, Danger)    123    12-1
7/Perfect Saturday (Castro, Fauchald)    123    10-1
8/Jayembro (Shino, Cole)    123    20-1
Robertson/Riggs will try to get two in a row tonight with LUMPSINMYOATMEAL in second start off the layoff. Should get decent pace to sit behind and is the obvious danger to the pacesetter. Hopefully doesn’t look better on paper. TAPINOT should enjoy the cutback in distance after weakening badly last out in two-turn race. KHUKURI will be on or near the lead, but I expect jockey Rivera to go full throttle early.

8  Distance: 6 furlongs. Purse: $14,000. Claiming: $10,000.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Gone Digital (Butler, Pate)    120    5-2
2/Cosmic Chi (Franco, Silva)    121    5-1
3/Blade Scuffler (Trimble, Silva)    118    9-2
4/Midnight Bull (Stevens, Rhone)    121    5-1
5/Tricky Sky Pilot (A. Canchari, Rengstorf)    116    8-1
6/Some Kinda Boy (Keith, Axmaker)    121    5-1
7/Shadow Edge (Goodwin, Kirby)    121    5-1
BLADE SCUFFLER comes off the turf facing tons better showing early foot but fading in each race. Ran his best career race four back in the slop. GONE DIGITAL won easily last out facing weaker rivals going a mile and 70 yards. Finds a new barn tonight, but Butler remains as the pilot. COSMIC CHI takes drop in class and gets back to dirt where he has done his best running. MIDNIGHT BULL steps up a level with early speed for trainer Rhone. Note Stevens gets the mount as Butler hops off.

Distance: 6 furlongs. Purse: $9,000. Maiden claiming: $5,000.
#/Horse, Jockey, Trainer     Wt.    Odds
1/Chief Engineer (Arroyo, Venner)    123    30-1
2/Prince Raj (Prado, Jones)    123    15-1
3/Twobuckstoomuch (A. Canchari, Erfle)    115    8-1
4/Unzapped (Riggs, Robertson)    120    5-2
5/Triple Hot Wings (Walker, Jr., Hemba)    120    5-1
6/Bold Raider (Shino, Cole)    123    4-1
7/Railroad Tie (Trimble, Schindler)    120    12-1
8/Roger’s Star (Delorme, Miller)    120    20-1
9/Boji Brook (Velazquez, Litfin)    123    20-1
10/Run Trevor Run (Garnett, Venner)    123    30-1
11/Tuff Cowboy (Keith, Biehler)    120    9-2
UNZAPPED looks tough to beat in his third start to break his maiden. Just missed last out at this level in late four-wide bid, so expect Riggs to be sitting perfectly behind the pace tonight and attack. TUFF COWBOY gets tough post position to start from, but Lori Keith has done well previously starting from the far outside getting her runners up into the mix. TRIPLE HOT WINGS and BOLD RAIDER are must use for underneath in exotic tickets.
