Post time: 1:30 p.m. Best bet: Heliskier (5th race). Best play: 50-cent Pick 4 (1st): 4-5-6-7/3-4-6-8/5/1-2-4-6, $32.00.

st race 1 6 furlongs. 3-year-olds and up. Claiming $3,500. Purse $9,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Recast, C. Smith, Newman 123 12-1 2/Raffy, Luark, Wekseth 121 15-1 3/World of Color, Cardoso, Riecken 119 10-1 4/Alex's Tomcat, Morales, Rarick 121 4-1 5/King of Rhythm, Goodwin, Donlin 123 2-1 6/Blumin Won, Velazquez, Wekseth 118 7-2 7/Stitchntwine, Riggs, Scherbenske 123 3-1 KING OF RHYTHM held gamely for second last out after running in stalking position throughout race. Won here two back at this distance pulling ahead down the stretch as the favorite. ALEX'S TOMCAT caught a sloppy track last race and flattened out for show money. Should rate higher on a fast track where he won two back at Turf Paradise. STITCHNTWINE dueled and won going 6 1/2 furlongs last effort as the heavy favorite with Riggs aboard. Pace was slow, so will need to handle quicker fractions today.

nd race 6 furlongs. Fillies and mares. 3-year-olds and up. Maiden claiming $5,000. Purse $9,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/R Perks, J. Rivera, Wilson 119 5-1 2/Uno Katerino, J. Rivera Jr., Murtough 123 10-1 3/Is This a Secret, Dieguez, Bethke 119 7-2 4/Mirka, Riggs, Perez 119 4-1 5/Lady Shackleton, Delorme, Black 119 15-1 6/Hang On In There, Franco, Silva 119 6-1 7/Scat On, Bell, Anderson 123 6-1 8/Shamrock Omega, Castro, Olesiak 123 3-1 HANG ON IN THERE has a sharp work coming in after stopping badly setting the pace last out. Should get a decent price in this struggling maiden field of fillies and mares. SHAMROCK OMEGA puts the blinkers on and should be able to stalk inside speed starting from the outside post. Ran second last out with jockey Castro working hard down the stretch. IS THIS A SECRET has flashed early speed and ability but just hasn't been able to close the deal. Finished a few lengths behind Shamrock Omega last out.

rd race 1 mile, 70 yards. State-bred. 3-year-olds and up. Claiming $10,000. Purse $14,280. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Dos Angels Warrior, Castro, Cheloha 123 5-1 2/Luvin' George, Luark, Conde 123 12-1 3/Poniboy Time, Trimble, Riddle 123 10-1 4/Sir Ghazi, Arroyo, Porter 123 4-1 5/Lucky Straw, Riggs, Biehler 118 5-2 6/Tricky Sky Pilot, Stevens, Rengstorf 123 9-2 7/Nobodys Buffoon, Butler, Rhone 123 3-1 LUCKY STRAW won in short sprint last race and could lull the field to sleep stretching out today as lone speed in first time route race. TRICKY SKY PILOT puts blinkers on today and regains veteran jockey Stevens after a dull performance last out. Had a good workout since and should bounce back today. SIR GHAZI passed tiring rivals last out to get fourth and did show improvement from opening night's debut. Lots of question marks in this race.

th race Frances Genter Stakes. 6 furlongs. State-bred fillies. 3-year-olds. Purse $50,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Happy Hour Honey, Butler, Rhone 122 4-1 2/Go Go Jill, Stevens, Rengstorf 122 7-2 3/Dear Fay, Riggs, Robertson 122 8-1 4/Keewatin Ice, J. River, Porter 122 5-2 5/Somerset Swinger, Bell, Robertson 122 5-1 6/Jills Summer Raine, Morales, Oliver 122 3-1 JILLS SUMMER RAINE keeps improving and ran a career-best speed figure last out to win by fourlengths as the frontrunner. Loses jockey Stevens to GO GO JILL, who beat our top pick two back in a short sprint drawing away. Comes off a decent turf race debut and should be ready to fire. HAPPY HOUR HONEY will be ready to pounce if top two knock heads up front and tire. Draws the rail for the Butler/Rhone team, which won two back as the heavy favorite.

th race Victor S. Myers Jr. Stakes. 6 furlongs. State-bred. 3-year-olds. Purse $50,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Speakfromyourheart, Riggs, Hanson 122 4-1 2/Cheap Chocolate, Goodwin, Hardy 122 15-1 3/Heliskier, Bell, Robertson 122 1-2 4/Tez Virat, Butler, Rhone 122 5-1 5/Uno Mos Bluff, Stevens, Blair 122 15-1 6/Sue's Stormy, Walker Jr., Rengstorf 117 12-1 HELISKIER should crush this field today going for his fourth consecutive victory. Stakes race is his to lose but that won't happen with speed figures towering over his rivals. Looking at odds of 1-9 possibly. SPEAKFROMYOURHEART and TEZ VIRAT will duel for second-place honors today. Both are coming off nice victories and have developed nicely but not enough to beat Heliskier.

th race About 7 1/2 furlongs. Turf. 3-year-olds and up. Allowance optional claiming $25,000. Purse $22,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Surplus, Stevens, Van Winkle 119 6-1 2/Don't Bluff, Walker Jr., Rosin 119 5-1 3/Little Wagon, Delorme, Kirby 119 3-1 4/Council Oak, Keith, Biehler 123 4-1 5/First Captain, Riggs, Hanson 119 8-1 6/King of the Sky, Dieguez, Lund 119 12-1 7/Coconino Slim, Bell, Robertson 119 6-1 8/Page Meadows, J. Rivera, Wilson 119 9-2 COUNCIL OAK won last out by more than three lengths drawing away from the field easily with Lori Keith aboard following a three-wide trip. Likes to sit off the pace and attack. DON'T BLUFF recorded his best career turf speed figure last out closing from far back. Should have decent pace up front to pick off rivals late. SURPLUS weakened late two weeks ago dueling for the lead most of race. Should get ground-saving trip from the rail.

th race About 11/16 miles. Turf. 3-year-olds and up. Claiming $10,000-$7,500. Purse $13,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Enemy Fire, Riggs, Perez 119 6-1 2/Tigerstark, Keith, Suter 119 10-1 3/Bodacat, Franco, Silva 119 8-1 4/Hype, Rhone, Arterburn 119 9-2 5/Ilikechocolatemilk, J. Rivera, Van Winkle 119 6-1 6/Beau Named Sue, Butler, Rhone 119 5-1 7/Prince Eddington, Castro, Bravo 119 10-1 8/Fleet Cavalry, Trimble, Enger 119 30-1 9/Keen Bidder, Stevens, Hartman 119 6-1 10/Sweettalk'n Junior, Morales, Donlin 119 8-1 11/Brother Warbucks, Luark, Olesiak 119 15-1 HYPE is the one to catch and will take them as far as he can go. Has been outfinished in past two races by a neck trying to go gate-to-wire. BODACAT was never involved in race on the grass here three weeks ago after running well at Turf Paradise. I look for a big rebound for the Silva/Franco team. KEEN BIDDER is another runner who regressed last out after running well at Turf Paradise. Switches to jockey Stevens.

the race 6 furlongs. State-bred. 3-year-olds and up. Maiden claiming $10,000. Purse $14,080. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Governmentfailure, Frink, Berg 119 10-1 2/Vic the Kick, Dieguez, Bethke 123 6-1 3/L G Suprem, Castro, Fauchald 119 15-1 4/The Reconciler, Luark, Olesiak 123 9-2 5/Traffic Skier, Keith, Hanson 123 8-1 6/Prairie Man, Butler, Donlin 119 15-1 7/Affirmed Cure, Velazquez, Peters 114 5-1 8/De Bala, Arroyo, Porter 123 4-1 9/Biorn, Garnett, McFadden 123 20-1 10/Captain Royal, Trimble, Gourneau 119 20-1 11/Ra Ra Rockstar, J. Rivera, Hanson 119 6-1 THE RECONCILER set the pace last effort but had to settle for second at a big price. Give the gelding the nod today but the trust factor isn't all there in this wide-open race. AFFIRMED CURE finished right behind our top selection and was gaining. Running a half-furlong longer today should be a positive. DE BALA hasn't raced in 245 days but is training well for trainer Porter, who does well bringing his horses back after long layoffs.

th race 400 yards. 3-year-olds. Trials. Purse $5,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Unseen Angel, Bell, Wessels 124 4-1 2/Feature Dreamgirl, Goodwin, Hardy 124 3-1 3/Stolin Identity, Luark, Johnson 124 10-1 4/Painted Lies, C. Smith, Blair 124 8-5 5/Pita Chick, Frink, Hardy 124 8-1 6/Fast Eddys Eyeyinyou, C. Smith, Johnson 124 12-1 7/Whiz Happens, Suarez Ricardo, Black 124 15-1 8/Corona Jess Lika, Delorme, Johnson 124 10-1 PAINTED LIES is a decent single in this quarter horse race. Strong finisher is going for fourth consecutive victory for trainer Blair, who will have this gelding ready for winner's circle once again. FEATURE DREAMGIRL would love to turn the table on Painted Lies after finishing second in past two races. Third consecutive date for the two could prove a upset. STOLEN IDENTITY is a consistent runner who usually hits the board.

th race 400 yards. 3-year-olds. Trials. Purse $5,000. #/Horse, Jockey, Trainer Wt. Odds 1/Explosive Guns, Fennell, Miller 124 8-1 2/Bp Phoenix Reign, Frink, Hardy 124 8-1 3/Streak N Hot, Trimble, Haglund 124 5-1 4/Ivory Celebration, Bell, Johnson 124 12-1 5/Huckleberry Mojito, Goodwin, Hardy 124 7-2 6/Meter Me a Lady, C. Smith, Johnson 124 8-1 7/Paint Or More, Luark, Blair 124 3-1 8/Eye Fly Bye, Delorme, Johnson 124 4-1 HUCKLEBERRY MOJITO appears the one to beat for the Hardy/Goodwin team, which is hitting at 42 percent. Won last out closing fast in final strides. Stablemate BP PHOENIX was a beaten heavily bet favorite last out by a head. Got out of gate quickly and led throughout but was outfinished. PAINT OR MORE takes a drop in class after not responding in last effort. M/L favorite has the ability and is an obvious danger to our top pick. Follow Love: exoticplays.com or @StribLove on Twitter.
