Mike Patnode's 1-yard touchdown run with 56 seconds remaining lifted St. John's to a 10-7 MIAC victory over Carleton on Saturday in Northfield, Minn. The Johnnies, who trailed 7-0 going into the fourth quarter, got on the scoreboard with 8:17 remaining on a 24-yard field goal by Russell Gliadon.
Patnode's TD capped a seven-play, 28-yard drive. He carried the ball 44 times for 230 yards.
The Johnnies' defense limited the Knights to zero yards rushing.

Bethel 19, St. Thomas 18: Logan Flannery rushed for 159 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 5:20 remaining to help the visiting Royals rally for the victory over the Tommies.
St. Thomas led 18-7 early in the fourth quarter before Bethel's Alex King caught a 1-yard TD pass from Ben Wetzell. Flannery's 18-yard score capped a seven-play, 77-yard drive.
Concordia (Moorhead) 51, Augsburg 21: Jesse Nelson rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and Adam Swingdorf rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns as the host Cobbers ran past the Auggies.
Hamline 37, Macalester 6: Andrew Seymour caught seven passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns to lead the visiting Pipers to the nonconference victory.
Neb.-Omaha 45, MSU Mankato 15: Nebraska-Omaha, ranked No. 6 in Division II, raced to an early 24-0 advantage en route to the victory over visiting Minnesota State Mankato.
Central Washington 29, St. Cloud State 0: The Wildcats piled up 439 yards in offense en route to the victory in St. Cloud.
Minn.-Duluth 22, W. Washington 14: Ted Schlafke passed for 316 yards and three TDs as the Bulldogs beat the Vikings in Duluth.
McNeese State 31, South Dakota 7: Derrick Fourroux passed for a touchdown and ran for one during a 21-point second quarter as the host Cowboys beat the Coyotes.
MSU Moorhead 31, Upper Iowa 28: Dustin Long passed for 242 yards and three TDs to help the host Dragons outlast the Peacocks.
Winona State 28, Concordia (St. Paul) 7: Alex Wiese rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns to lead the host Warriors to the victory. The Warriors led 21-0 at halftime.
Bemidji State 35, Northern State 7: The Beavers remained undefeated, with a homecoming victory over the Wolves.
Mary 23, SW Minnesota State 22: Mike Williams' 85-yard TD reception with 23 seconds left lifted the Marauders to victory in Bismarck, N.D.
Wayne 31, Minn.-Crookston 7: The Wildcats scored 31 unanswered points after the Eagles took a 7-0 lead on David White's 1-yard TD run.
Northwestern (Roseville) 38, Minn.-Morris 22: Zack Tarter passed for 248 yards and three TDs to lead the visiting Eagles.
Martin Luther 55, Trinity Bible 0: Seven players had rushing TDs in the Knights' victory in New Ulm.
Crown 40, Blackburn 33: Matt Bremer rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two to help Crown rally for the victory in Car- linville, Ill.

North Dakota State 41, Western Illinois 28: Running back Tyler Roehl scored three touchdowns to lead the Bison over the Leathernecks in Macomb, Ill.
South Dakota State 45, Stephen F. Austin 0: The Jackrabbits held the Lumberjacks to 219 total yards in Brookings, S.D.
