About her performance Saturday: "It was challenging and rewarding at the same time. Every time you finish a stage, you feel like you have won. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It was awesome."

Why she got into the sport: "I've worked the Life Time Fitness Triathlon before as a volunteer. I've done a few indoor triathlons, and figured it was time to go out and give it a try."
