Heidi Morlock's roots are farming. After finishing her second year of medical school, she and her husband, Hans Peterson, had their first child. She took a yearlong break and realized how much she had left behind. She called her mom and said don't sell the farm. She's home now on the family's farm in Belle Plaine Township.
