    Oh, the wonders of modern science! The white whipped fluffiness of Cool Whip, previously available only in frozen tubs that you thaw and spoon atop desserts that lack for white whipped fluffiness, now comes to us as well in refrigerated aerosol cans. No thawing, no spooning; just sqwootch.

  • Tidbits: Very small pasta
    We all know the tragedy of classic Italian pasta shapes -- penne, bowties, fusilli (twists) and wheels -- that are just too big for American children to enjoy without unspeakable anguish. Pastamaker Barilla is now prepared to end that horror by providing miniature versions of those four pasta shapes.

  • Tidbits: All aboard ...
    Mr. Tidbit has mentioned all of these nutrition bandwagons before -- often -- but each seems to be, if anything, picking up steam. So he needs to note in passing the presence of even more (and in some cases even more peculiar) appearances of pomegranate, dark chocolate and fiber. (No new Omega-3 sightings this week.) Ready?
