A new Golden Age
After five years of operating out of a garage, Golden Age Design finally has a storefront. The midcentury-modern seller began as a happy accident after Bill and Kara Kurth decided to sell some furniture from their home on Craigslist. The pair quickly developed a cult following for their finds, which are restored to their original condition by Bill and a team of refinishers. The store is open only one weekend a month. (3-9 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sat., noon-5 p.m. Sun., or by appointment. 4157 W. Broadway, RobbinsÂdale. 612-408-6896 or www.facebook.com/goldenagedesign.)
