Aleksander Barkov completed his first career hat trick with a goal at 3 minutes, 24 seconds of overtime, giving the host Florida Panthers a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal and an assist and Roberto Luongo made 29 saves for the Panthers, who ended a four-game skid. John Tavares scored his 20th goal for the Leafs.

Pittsburgh 4, Los Angeles 3 (OT): Phil Kessel scored a power-play goal at 3 minutes, 59 seconds of overtime, giving the Penguins a home victory over the Kings. Matt Murray made 38 saves and earned his first victory since Oct. 25.

Montreal 5, Ottawa 2: Shea Weber scored the tiebreaking goal in the host Canadiens' four-goal third period in a victory over the Senators, their third victory over Ottawa in 12 days.

Colorado 6, Dallas 4: Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen each scored twice, with both scoring in a three-goal Avalanche first period in Denver.

Anaheim 2, Columbus 1 (OT): Daniel Sprong scored the winner 1:19 into overtime for the visiting Ducks. Anaheim's John Gibson stopped 36 shots in a tight, high-energy game played mostly in Columbus' offensive zone.

Washington 4, Buffalo 3 (SO): Alex Ovechkin scored his NHL-leading 29th goal of the season to extend his point streak to a career-best 14 games and had the shootout winner for the host Capitals, who won their fifth consecutive game. Sabres captain Jack Eichel scored twice and 2018 first overall pick Rasmus Dahlin had a power-play goal for Buffalo.

N.Y. Islanders 4, Detroit 3 (SO): Mathew Barzal scored on a power play in the third period and had the only goal in the shootout, lifting the host Islanders to victory. New York beat the Red Wings for the fourth straight time, including a 3-2 win at Detroit last Saturday. Thomas Vanek had a goal and two assists for Detroit.

Nashville 2, New Jersey 1 (OT): Ryan Johansen got the winner in Round 6 of the shootout in Nashville.
