Brayden Schenn scored 62 seconds into overtime, Alex Pietrangelo had two goals in regulation and the St. Louis Blues came back to beat the visiting New York Rangers 4-3 on Saturday night.

Nikita Soshnikov also scored for the Blues, who won their third game in their past four. Jake Allen made 17 saves as St. Louis moved within three points of idle Dallas and Colorado for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. The Blues lost leading scorer Vladimir Tarasenko to an upper-body injury in the eighth minute of the game.

Edmonton 4, Florida 2: Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists in the third period to rally the Oilers over the host Panthers. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Ty Rattie and Adam Larsson also scored for the Oilers, 4-1-1 in their past six games. Cam Talbot made 40 saves for the Oilers, Roberto Luongo 32 saves for the Panthers.

Buffalo 5, Chicago 3: Nicholas Baptiste scored two goals in the third period to lead the host Sabres over the Blackhawks. He scored the game-winner with 1:56 left on a deflection of Marco Scandella's shot from the point. Chad Johnson made 34 saves for Buffalo. Jonathan Toews, Jordan Oesterle and Tomas Jurco scored for the Blackhawks.

New Jersey 3, Los Angeles 0: Michael Grabner's shorthanded goal, his 27th of the season, gave the visiting Devils a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of the game and Keith Kinkaid made 38 saves for the shutout over the Kings.

Philadelphia 4, Carolina 2: Valterri Filppula scored the tiebreaking goal with 5:49 left in visiting Flyers' win over Hurricanes. Travis Konecny and Jakub Voracek also scored for Philadelphia in a 5:52 span in the third.

Boston 3, Tampa Bay 0: Tuukka Rask of the Bruins stopped 23 shots to hand host Tampa Bay its first shutout loss of the season.
